I took over a new team and felt there were some underlying/unspoken challenges. I decided to use an LSP facilitator to help me with a team meeting. We spent a day together building our future team mission and values. The team said it was the best session they had attended and really helped gain the respect of each other in a non-threatening and fun way. Thank you.
The kids had such a great time building their town and getting to explain the purpose for each model. They were articulate and excited to share their stories and reasons why the town should have a candy shop, new playgrounds, ice cream shop, and fun schools with the Mayor. I enjoyed watching 6 & 7 year old children selling their concepts and supporting each other. Thank you for taking the time to give the children their voices and for inviting the Mayor to hear their ideas.
We are going through another organizational change, and people are fearful of losing their jobs and of the changes that will impact them of those who are losing their positions. The leadership team had recently been part of a Prosci/ADKAR sponsor training and realized this methodology could be a great way to plan for the reorganization and the possible resistance. We realized we hadn’t done a very good job in the past with change initiatives and we wanted this to be different. We had one of our internal resources help us with the Prosci/ADKAR preparation and execution. She was instrumental in developing a project plan for the change and working closely with each of to ensure we were communicating effectively and the appropriate level. This was one of the key steps we took to ensure success. I’m grateful the support, delivery and wrap-up which was provided.”
We were looking for a fun and interactive team building exercise. We heard about LSP and thought this might be a great way to have our new hires and experienced employees come together using a playful and interactive method. The facilitated session was designed with our outcome in mind. It allowed us to leave with a team charter and new respect for the experience and skills within the team, for both the new and existing employees. We also found the passion around certain activities actually relieved the stress from others who didn’t enjoy those activities. A great motivational experience.

Hi Gail, Thanks again for inviting me to participate in "A Spa Day for the Sole: Rediscovering yourself through Play" workshop. The building challenges you gave us really helped everyone dig into their unique attributes, reflect on our best strengths, speak openly about our weaknesses, and express our future hopes and dreams in such a creative and inspiring way. We all walked into the session as strangers, but by the end of the session, we were able to build models describing each other! I've never gotten to know a group of people so quickly. Though I've done LEGO Serious Play workshops in the past, this session was the most personally and professionally gratifying, revealing and meaningful. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I didn’t think my team would open up. They did and I was REALLY surprised by what they had to say. I thought the problems were different and much more difficult to solve. Boy was I wrong.
We had an extremely dysfunctional process. No one talked to each other, no one knew what the others were doing, and the formats of the information caused huge problems both upstream and downstream. A colleague suggested using a facilitator with process experience. We contacted our Six Sigma colleague and she developed a process workshop using bricks and storytelling to help uncover the roadblocks. Our team was able to improve their efficiency and effectiveness by 75% immediately following the workshop. The changes were easy, reduced the aggravation and stress with the team and the end-to-end process allowed us to showcase my team and the participants from the end-to-end process. It was extremely important to use an unbiased external facilitator. We will use this type of session again.
